Lumenalis Consulting is an Ottawa practice serving small developers, owners, and builders. The work is feasible, financial modelling, and the project leadership that turns intent into delivery.
Principal
Mohamed Abdelrahman founded Lumenalis Consulting Ltd. in December 2023, after five years of construction and development project management in Ottawa.
Recent portfolio work includes direct management of a development pipeline that has produced over 45 units valued at over $20 million.
Alongside the project work, Mohamed builds the budgets, cost-control systems, and reporting that development and construction projects depend on, so an owner can see where a project stands at any moment.
Lumenalis Consulting is the externalisation of that practice. The firm exists to give small developers and owners the feasibility, financial, and project leadership that larger shops keep in-house.

Operating Principles
Test feasibility before committing capital.
Every engagement begins with the feasibility question. We test whether the site, the numbers, and the schedule support the plan before capital commits, because a budget built on a flawed premise only fails faster.
Fixed-fee scoping for every engagement.
Lumenalis quotes a fixed fee on a defined scope, with explicit exclusions and a single point of accountability. Hourly billing is reserved for change requests outside the original Scope of Work.
Deliverables are signed, dated, and version-controlled.
Every artefact carries a document control number, a version, and a date. Every Lumenalis document carries a control number.
Where We Work, And With Whom
Lumenalis is based in Ottawa and serves the Ottawa-Gatineau region for in-person engagements, and the broader Ontario market remotely. We accept limited engagements per quarter, by referral or direct outreach. This is a deliberate capacity constraint — a single principal with a record of compressing timelines does it by being inside one engagement at a time.
Why Lumenalis
Lumen (Latin) is the coherent SI derived unit of luminous flux, defined as one candela-steradian. The function of the firm is the same as the unit: to reduce informational opacity inside client organisations. The starburst mark in the logo references the point-source radiative geometry of luminous emission. The Charcoal, Stone, and White palette references the drafting register the firm operates in.
